Actually Non Sequitur, my vision of a new Constitution defaults each state to sovereign status UNLESS the legislature of each state votes to stay in the USA every 2 years.

We all have dreams. Mine is that we look at Starship Troopers and require citizens to pass a history and moral philosophy test before they can serve in the military, and must serve in the military before they can vote or hold certain offices.

So what do you do with the people who have crossed a border within the last 2 years?

Are they held for ransom? Enslaved? All their property stolen? Shipped out? Just kill them?

How do you grow business when everyone knows that there will be radical change in the legal climate in a year or two? How does the state pay for any improvements that may have been made in the years before ‘the default’?
