What a horrible thing to happen.
I swear people are not as careful as they used to be. I watch kids running around at full speed with no care or caution from their parents. I see drivers completely immersed in texting while there cars slow down or veer of to the side of the road. I see pedestrians crossing the road without looking for cars. I see people die from these things. It is not socially correct to point out anything bad. You must never caution another. You must never threaten them with the future.
I wash my hands.

Hauling through a small town today and saw a toddler running through fresh cut grass toward the street. I backed off as I watched the “mother” lumbering in pursuit but not much faster than the toddler who took a turn toward the “father” whom was pushing a lawn mower cutting his lawn. I watched in angst as the toddler fell towards the running mower and its little hands came to a stop less than a foot or so from the spinning blade. At that point they went out of my sight and I could only pray all was well. I did see the mower continue its mission in my rear view mirror so am assuming all was OK. I suppressed myself from landing in their faces telling horror stories...
