Yes. I agree.
I was almost afraid to come home to Florida from my trip, expecting my apartment in a 60% Black Neighborhood to be trashed or worse. (I had left my Dog, my Les Paul, and my Bass in the care of others for the two weeks i was away)
When I came home, my Black neighbors were happy to see me, said they had missed me, and my apartment, my dog, and my instruments were all intact. And not a mention of the Zim case at all whatsoever.
And this is South Broward county, very close to the area where TM went to school.
So, in effect, NORMAL working class Black people have no investment in TM. The ones involved in the protests are the same ones who will look for any excuse to riot.
Just my opinion, but one based on experience.
I am experiencing the same thing with at least one of the black individuals I work with EVERY day.
Granted, he is a bit older—mid 40’s—but he agrees with me that the prosecution was political and that SYG had nothing to do with the case.
He hasn’t come RIGHT out and said it, but his entire demeanor has been one that I agree with—Zimmerman was not guilty.
Around here people gossip. They know exactly what mom dad and Trayvon have been up to. Lots more then any research a web site can do.
My impression as well.
