King's line repeats something that Levin has been stating for months(I tune in a few minutes every day in car) , that there are only a few here who were brought here as kids and are A students killing themselves to be successful in the only country (home) they know.,
Is there a chance that an ideology that says that those particular ones above are still criminals like the rest and so they must be hunted down as they are all the others the drug runners? just because they didnt flee this country when they were kids, this has a chance of success?
The reason why King can say this is he probably has less than 3 hispanics in his voting district. That is his universe. I wish this was still 1980 but its not.
I don't know what the real numbers are, but for example if King's statement means that among the dreamers there are 100 drug runners for every valedictorian, that sounds way off. I was thinking that the fact that some of the dreamers have already become permanent residents or citizens makes the number of illegal valedictorians lower than it would have been.
But although King is saying some things that sound preposterous to me, we really could end up with an immigration bill that admits millions of illegals we should not accept, and it's not that easy to pass a bill that avoids that trap.
