It's just that I personally found myself experiencing emotions that negatively affected the rest of my life and I didn't want these socialists to have the power over me to do that.
Maybe you can separate it better from other facets of your life than I could.
I understand your point completely. It is energy wasted, and interferes with a pleasant and productive life. Much of my personal frustration is working to put someone in office, only to have them stab us in the back once they get there. I would happily die standing next to someone with integrity. As it is, mostly we just sit while we are lied to and betrayed.
