The woman hold to the notion of “the general will,” which comes from Rousseau, but boils down to the notion that the moral consensus among “progressives” such as herself is determinative. It is a bit like the Marxist notion of the dictatorship of the proletariat, where a self-elect group get to decide what is good for the masses.

I am sure the Framers had this covered with the "We Hold these Truths to be self-evident" clause, but then, that's a bunch of old white guys, so Common Sense is NOT applied in the Courts, anymore.....Lawyers have skewed meanings of words to make a buck, and to further The Agenda.
