It's a flawed comparison. States traditionally recognize marriages performed in states with different marriage requirements. Concealed-carry laws are applicable to everyone travelling in a state, regardless of the law in their home state. Similarly, if you live in a state with no sales tax, it does not mean you are exempt from paying sales tax when travelling in a state that has sales tax.
