Zhirinovski has made a nice living for the past 25 years as the raving maniac in Russian politics. Outrageousness is his schtick. His zenith came in the 1991 elections for Russian president when he posed as a “liberal democrat” while very likely on the payroll of the KGB. For comparison imagine if the “pastor” of the Westboro Baptist Church, or Ed Schultz, had a seat in Congress.
