Rush is of German stock so even though his family has southern accents ..likely they were Missouri Union sympathizers

I wouldn't be surprised if David or Albert or Jacob Limbaugh in the 8th Missouri Cavalry regiment was an ancestor.
But even Obama had Confederate ancestors (I think. I haven't been able to find any in the army yet).
It doesn't say anything about present-day politics.
It would be a smear, if it what I said about the confederacy or its proponents was false.
If it is true, it isn’t a smear. It is just stating the facts.
