None of the elites eat what we silly serfs eat.

In the old days, that wasn't a bad thing. The elite got white bread, meats and gravy, and fattening pastries. The workers got whole wheat or black bread, veggies, and whole grains with less meat.

Now, we are not accidentally getting better food though.

Funny how ignorance in the past led to the more expensive items being the least healthy. But now - the cheaper items are the massed-produced over-processed foods. White flour is strangely cheaper than whole wheat, even though it requires more steps to get it there.

That is interesting, isn't it? "Peasant food" wound up far healthier. AND now chic. AND expensive. Odd how that all turned out.

Yes -- shouldn't extra "refinement" of wheat make it....MORE expensive? But then whole grain flour won't kill us quicker -- the processed GMO white flour, corn syrup, and chemical additives will, but they're be so darned cheap and taste so darned good that most of the serfs will happily poison themselves. So the PTB won't have to do it. You've seen Walmart, right? ;-)
