The "voting public" is comprised of idiots and low-commitment party "members".
It is reasonable that this "public" should participate in a final two-way choice in November, but it is completely UNreasonable that they should have a voice in the critical pre-November design of issues and choosing who is best suited to lead.
Primary elections don't belong in the GOP or whatever takes its place and should be abolished.

Yep, since Reagan, they've given us George H.W. Bush, Dole, George W. Bush, John McCain, and now Romney. A 24-year string of RINOs who embrace big government.
If the GOP nominates another RINO in that vein, they will again lose. I don't know that they have figured out that Conservatives are tired of being **** on by liberals pretending to be Republicans. May take them another election or two.
