A lot of other issues with college football, but this isn’t one of them...my problem is with the thugs that have taken over the game...it’s no fun anymore.
Before the haters start this is completely paid for through money made from football. As well as all the coaches salaries.
Yes. Remember - all those Title 9 “Athletes” are all on full scholarship. Talk about pissing away money...
They earn it, at that level the football programs are nominally compensated professional football teams.
One issue I have is that the college athlete at a school like ‘Bama, or a Gator, or I guess one of my beloved Hoosiers in basketball, is being treated far too lavishly. He may well be an athlete, but there doesn’t seem to be too much “college” about it.
Oh well, as college students they were just going to get communist brainwashing anyway. Maybe it isn’t so bad.
But I get your point about the thugs taking over the game. Spoiling them with this elite status doesn’t help things any.
Even “Johnny Football” turned out to be a punk.
I was more thrilled with the Gator Women winning the Gymnastics title than anything the football team has done over the past few years.
And they should note that now there are plenty of empty seats at home Gator games, that was unheard of a few years ago....maybe the lack of success has something to do with it, but I also think many are like me and are just tired of the thugs.
Well, you sure have a lot say this afternoon (g)
What they should do is buy Auburn some new trees...
Weren’t you proud of how Ryan Lochte made us Gators look super smart?
Was proud of his medals, but he’s a first-class jerk.
This.
BTW, I remember your 'on-site' reports back when the Clintons were in power. Thanks.
