WASHINGTON | As fellow Republicans slipped into a room in the Capitol for a private meeting, Arizona Sen. John McCain held court outside, surrounded by a flock of reporters.
What about you, jerk? he teased Kasie Hunt of NBC News, who gave it back: Do you take offense to the term Old Bull??
McCains eyes lit up and he laughed.
Is that Sen. McCain? Oooooh, Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., who was passing by, whispered in faux awe.
The 76-year-old, twice-failed presidential candidate is back in front, reprising his role as a bipartisan dealmaker, occasional irritant to his own party and quote machine.

Facing a conservative challenge in his 2010 Senate re-election, McCain rushed to the right, changing his tone on immigration and global warming, only to veer back to where he sits today, reclaiming the sobriquet maverick.
I never liked that moniker, McCain said. When I called for (Secretary of Defense Donald) Rumsfelds resignation and I disagreed with Bush and I voted against the tax cuts, then I was the maverick. And then after I lost to Obama, I was the angry, bitter old man. Its interesting how all of a sudden John McCains personality changed so much.

In his own mind maybe. And in the minds of a few of his sycophants. But I doubt that a majority of the Republican senators look on him as a leader. McConnell either. Certainly none of the new arrivals seem to.
I don’t like old bull, either. It should be old bull-sh***er.
It might be a liberal view that he's "back in front", but the reality on the ground/truth is something very different. [bold emphasis above is mine]
Wish he would just go away.

McCain, back in front because we (media) think he can be useful in pushing amnesty.
McCain, back in front, has no idea he is fully back in media employment as a tool for the media. However, he is not of interest as a Republican but as a destroyer of Republicans and, especially, regular Americans.
FUMcLame
Turncoat Bastard
His family should show some compassion and involuntarily commit this drooling degenerate...for the good of their family name and for the good of the country.

“Back in Front” as in leading from behind?
Sadly, this is accurate.
And it is more of a commentary on what the Republicans are these days, than anything else.
He is a leader with no followers outside the MSM boot-lickers.
The Rat’s choice.
It’s too bad the damned North Vietnamese gave him back; should have kept him.
The POS should be bombarded with the quote that most fits the fine fantasy put forth in this article: “Well, hello, Mister Fancypants. Well, I’ve got news for you, pal, you ain’t leadin’ but two things right now: Jack and shit... and Jack left town.”
worthless jackass.
The GOP/RNC/repub party is mostly made up and comprised of a bunch of LOSER rino's!
Maverick?? TRAITOR would be a better term
Old Bull?? Old Bull shytter more like it.
McCain isn’t leading Republicans, he is leading Democrat Lites.
McCain is leading the destruction of the Republican party.
Both McCain & Glenn weren’t content with that. They had to go on and on to wreak even more havoc on the country.
Though, literally, I had no choice a the time, still holding my nose over that vote.
