Black people don't go out of their way to say hi to white people in Walmart .... or anywhere else, for that matter.
Or say thanks for holding the door, or wave back if you wave them through the intersection, or wave them over when they want to enter your lane...
They call those things “being friendly” and it is a derisive remark, because that’s what “soft white people do”.
