Not true at all. I voted for Reagan twice despite him being a former democrat. If he was alive and a democrat today, I would vote for him in a heartbeat.
The real difficulty here is that if one part of the Constitution “doesn’t matter” any more, then it’s all up for grabs, every last sentence of it, including the Bill of Rights.
THAT IS THE PROBLEM.
