My youngest daughter was born in Japan to parents who were both natural born U.S. citizens. She was issued a U.S. Passport, consular birth certificate and social security card (Maryland number) upon our application for the same at the local U.S. Embassy. Our U.S. passports proved our U.S. citizenship. The birth certificates used to acquire those passports proved our natural birth. Our daughter’s certificate of live birth issued by the Japanese authorities with us listed as parents proved her natural birth and the only additional document which we had to supply (for some strange reason) was out marriage certificate.
“natural birth”? As opposed to caesarian?
