Let’s just nevermind that 10th Amendment thing which doesn’t allow the federal government to undermine state laws.

It is what has existed *before* stand your ground and castle doctrine laws that is controversial.Victims of crime being prosecuted by wrongheaded local & state government's because they did not do enough to retreat when confronted, threatened, or assaulted by violent thugs. McCain is a senile asshat.

McCain's got a problem.
Every time he has a chance to differentiate himself from Obama, he votes to support Obama and votes for Communism. Makes one wonder what actually happened at the Hanoi Hilton.
The Communists, like Muslims, are very patient. They have to be because their ideology is not something that works in the short term...or, for that matter, in the long-term.

FU old man.
This laws were created because far too many people were froze. With fear in the face of an aggressor who ultimately maimed them or killed them.
They were petrified because the laws had been setup so that a victim was in fear of the law if they defended themselves.
Repealing SYG will only result in more deaths and a culture that is refrained and restrained because the law will come after them.
Hey, while yer at it why not repeal Good Samaritan. Laws and people like me will stand there watching someone die as I say “Uh Oh”. Right along with all the other erstwhile humans who would render aid but, fir it putting us in jeopardy due to a litigous society.
FU!!! I have a right to my life, wholly and completely and to feel confident I can be a human being and render aid as God compells me.

IIRC from Hannity, stand your ground laws take an advantage away from the attacker. Apparently, savvy attackers know that if potential victims must try to escape, then the victims can't defend themselves to the fullest measure; and, the attackers can plan and manipulate the situation against the victim.
I suspect that there are a multitude of hypotheticals and real-life accounts that give weight to this argument, and I'd love to hear some.
