I reluctantly voted for McCain in 08 because the alternative was worst, or so I thought. To be sure, Obama has done horrendous damage to our republic, but I think a McCain presidency might have done almost as much. At least we know that Obama is our political enemy and has never convinced any of us otherwise. McCain pretends to be our friend and yet continues to stab us in the back. McCain’s presence in the Senate and his erratic and contradictory stances on the issues of the day undermine any opposition to the President’s policies.
Historically, Barack Obama may get credit for a major contribution to the country by keeping John McCain from the Presidency.
