HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two opposing groups in Houston with opposite stances on the George Zimmerman verdict will likely come face-to-face Sunday in dueling protests.
So far, all of the protests locally have been against the verdict. On Sunday, a group in favor of Zimmerman's acquittal will step out and speak up.
The Houston Police Department plans to have officers on scene when dueling protests kick off around 4pm Sunday in the River Oaks neighborhood

River Oakes use to be a affluent community has that gone to the dogs now too or are they busing in thugs..
The Houston Police Chief is afraid of the counter-protestors causing trouble? No bias there.
It’s good to see they now admit OJ was guilty.
I feel sorry for the Houston police. They are going to be in the middle of this.
Houston has some tough gangbangers, including some of the refuse that migrated from New Orleans after Katrina.
I think about 100,000 of these folks should be transplanted to Vermont. See how that works out.
I’ve been at many pro-life protests and have seen how the opposition works; they can attack and get away with it, even with a police presence. I’ll be praying for the counter protesters; may they not be attacked by the protesters - or the police. May they have video rolling too; they’ll need in if they go to court.

Look....these protests failed miserably, period. The media can gin them up all they want, The turnout across the entire country was hardly measurable!!! Black Racist, POTUS Obama failed again!!!
River Oaks? Man, those people are well connected to the powers that be in Houston. There will be some serious political manipulations if these people are even slight bothered by any of this. I bet they aren’t let anywhere near Ima Hogg’s house.
“they” being the protesters.....
Trayvon targeted Zimmerman because he was “white”, which is quite obvious in Rachel Jeantels testimony. He could have gone home, instead HE stalked and confronted zimmerman. What do they not get about this?
Here’s a thought: Do what King Zero does. Make nice noises, say it’s being looked at, and then do nothing - wait for the hub-bub to die down or something else to come along to get people’s attention (in Zero’s case it’s usually another crisis).
busing in thugs
“River Oakes use to be a affluent community has that gone to the dogs now too or are they busing in thugs..”
I do not know but I thought that ol’ Quanell had better sense than to go to River Oaks. He probably wants a confrontation with the people who live in River Oaks. That is not wise. The richest people in Houston live in River Oaks.
“Trayvon, Sr.” has probably been to River Oaks to attend $30,000 per plate fundraisers.
The march through River Oaks is supposed to be a peaceful one, but the fact that a pro-Zimmerman group is planning on rallying at the same time as a pro-Martin group does have some neighbors concerned...
I cleaned homes there and they are the richest folks in H-town by far...
