As the reality of Obamacare emerges, a disastrous calamity imposed on the American people, even the most compliant members of the Obama fan club are beginning to panic. Three union presidents have sent Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi a scathing letter decrying Obamacare, showing just how out-of-control this law has become. This astonishing reversal has been underreported so far, except by the ever-vigilant Tom Gara in the Wall Street Journal.
The fact is that the crater of Obamacare is getting deeper, with sharper edges. The unions are first-tier political allies of President Obama and the Democratic Party, and it was surely their last resort to put their grievances with Obamacare in writing in the public sphere. A lot must have happened behind the scenes before they felt sufficiently frustrated with the Obama administration to take this step.
In a joint letter, James P. Hoffa of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Joseph Hansen of the UFCW and D. Taylor of UNITE-HERE state that Obamacare will destroy the 40 hour work week that is the backbone of the American middle class and destroy the very health and wellbeing of our members along with millions of other hardworking Americans. And they highlight their buyers remorse:
We have been strong supporters of the notion that all Americans should have access to quality, affordable health care. We have also been strong supporters of you. In campaign after campaign we have put boots on the ground, gone door-to-door to get out the vote, run phone banks and raised money to secure this vision. Now this vision has come back to haunt us.
You can feel their anxiety and boiling frustration coming through.
What does falling apart look like for Obamacare, if not this?

The American people imposed this disastrous calamity on themselves.
And it is not the only disastrous calamity that they have imposed on themselves--and their children.
It is they who elected the politicians who passed this legislation.
It is they who shrugged when their elected officials passed it without reading it and without even knowing what was in the legislation that they passed into law.
It is they who continue to support such propaganda organs as the Washington Post, which, far from bringing truth to the people, truth that would enable the electorate to make wise decisions, merely parrot political propaganda and attempt to influence public opinion.
It is the American people who refuse to demand truth and who are responsible for their present condition.
Well, either that, or the election-thieving RATs did.
The real goal is to find GOPe pols willing to take on the fight, and not compromise a band aid fix.
ObamaCare is here to stay. From a liberal bureaucrat’s perspective, look at the positives:
1. It puts big pharmaceutical companies in a position to extract billions from the system, which will enrich not only the companies, but any politician with enough leverage to procure a kickback or benefit.
2. It creates an immense bureaucracy with cushy jobs, six figure salaries, union supremacy and nearly limitless authority.
3. The government will have unrestricted access to the bank accounts and personal information of every citizen that will be used to punish dissent and insure obedience to any demand of government. Shut up, hand over your guns and do as you’re told or suffer the consequences, not the least of which will be total denial of healthcare.
4. America becomes ruled by a single political party, like the former USSR.
For everyone that hates freedom and political diversity, it’s a huge win/win.
They need to get a rail, tie Pelosi across it and have a group of Volunteers in a relay carry her on it all the way back to California.
The number of the government dependent under class voters will act as a power base to swamp the traditional American Middle Class majority and provide electoral majority . The thug element of the under class will act as quickly mobilizable flash mobs to intimidate or assault and opposition as has been done in Venezuela. (interesting in light of recent events)
Control will facilitated by a Computer database system that tracks pretty much everything from personal financial data to surveillance data. The recent NSA and IRS disclosures demonstrate just how far we are along in that process and a scary new revelation is that the government is using surveillance, photo radar and red light cameras combined with pattern recognition to extract automobile license plate data and use it to track peoples travel history.
This system is to be propped up by a much reduced working class and other producers in the economy. These producers will be worked to the bone for little benefit themselves and families to support the under class and the Elites.
This is what Obamacare was about.
Union workers are producers who have been a major of part of the of the Old Democrat Coalition but they are in the process of being frozen out the New Democrat Coalition for obvious reasons.
Unions members being betrayed by the Democrats and their Union leadership and they are just one more example of the group of useful idiots who put the current Politicians into power.
Like all useful idiots who put lawless politicians into power, union rank and file members are being discarded and purged now that the Political class consolidating it's power and they are no longer .
Of course that will not effect the union leaders because they are now looking at recruiting non working welfare layabouts to organize and agitate for their welfare checks using the same tactics the Unions used to intimidate and extort companies like GM into granting extravagant contracts.
Once again , we see the beginnings of this in the AFL / CIOs new recruitment of “non Workers “ as members and also the actions of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Obamacare trainwreck bump for later.......
It doesn’t have anything to do with WaPo. It is an article written by a republican that is published by the WaPo. No different from a Krauthammer article published by WaPO.
You do realize, don't you, that this is not "The Washington Post" speaking, rather it is an editorial by Republican consultant Ed Rogers who is a contributor to the WP's "Post Partisan" blog and who is described as:
"spars with Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen under the Insiders banner. He is also chairman of the lobbying and communications firm BGR Group, which he founded with now-Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour in 1991. Rogers has been involved with numerous Republican political campaigns, including the presidential campaigns of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. In the first Bush White House, he reported to chief of staff John Sununu. In the Reagan White House, he worked in the office of political affairs."
Bump
If the elections were stolen, it is the responsibility of the American people to demand and get the truth and the remedy.
This bill is far worse than you can imagine. Keep in mind that the D-Rats had to pass the senate version of O-Care because of Scott Brown not allowing them to bring it back to a second Senate vote. The house did not have a chance to clean it up and send it back to the Senate. So we got stuck with the full unedited monstrosity! No wonder Nancy didn’t want read it. After Scott Brown, her job was cut and clear.....Pass it as quickly and sneakily as possible.
If Republicans had pushed for tort reform (instead of throwing the issue under the bus), might we not be in this mess?
The real goal is to find GOPe pols willing to take on the fight, and not compromise a band aid fix.
All cities are RAT.
I highly doubt there are enough normal people there who give a damn.
Obamacare will destroy.
Has for the last 4 1/2 years so far.
If it makes anyone feel any better:
I have a good friend who works in IT. A systems architect, as far as I understand such things. Until recently she had been working for a federal contractor that had a contract to implement Obamacare technologies. That contract was just cancelled and my friend is out of work. She says it’s because Obamacare’s fundamental problems are becoming apparent and are drawing oversight. The impression I have gained is of increasing hysteria among those who are trying to put this horror show together.
She is a big liberal, and two years ago she was all thrilled about this program. I warned her—from the standpoint of someone who actually works with medical practice—that the thing is a nightmare. Now she is saying the same things I did, while I’ve tactfully shut up.
