Your insurance will pay for it, because the next time you have blood work, that DNA collection and HIV test will automatically be taken care of with or without your permission.
It did seem suspicious when Magic claimed to get it through hetero sex-however frequent.
Was he on the DL?
Who did Magic claim to have sex with that had HIV?
I think there was some speculation about it...
Ha, good way to put it!
We all know homos are a protected class and their behavior, well it is verboten to criticize let alone think of "common sense" regulations.
True, but history shows that today’s recommendations become tomorrows laws.
I seem to remember the non smoking section “recommendations” too.
This government is obsessed with collecting personal information on every aspect of our lives but does nothing constructive with it.
What are they going to do with HIV infected blood samples?
Quarantine the carrier? - No way!
More likely they will start pushing for a law making AIDS a civil rights issue, declaring it illegal to treat AIDS carriers any differently than a healthy, non-infected person.
“My understanding is EO’s are not laws so how is this going to be enforced?”
Actually, they are laws, or have the force of law. They must be overridden by Congress. If the president vetoes the override, then Congress must overcome the President’s veto. If they can’t, then the EO stands as law.
OE’s were intended as emergency measures when it might take Congress a month to reassemble and act. They were never intended the way they have been used by Obama. To my knowledge, no president, other than Clinton(who still used them sparsely by comparison), has used them to the extent that Obama has.
It is probably time to remove this power from the president, or set a time limit for Congress to Okay the OE.
At the time of his retirement, Magic claimed to have slept with thousands of women; this was purported to have been the source of his HIV. However, if your nurse acquaintance is accurate, he may have left out some crucial info.
Thanks...I guess I should study up on it a bit more.
Who’s going to tell Obama he can’t issue decrees like a ruler?
Remember, this is a guy supposedly knows all about our Constitution.
It will just be tacked onto the blank check which is the "Affordable Care Act" as a new requirement, which is still being written years after its passage into law.
Another thing,
Gubmint will have to issue orders for Citizen X Y and Z to report to such and such place to get ‘tested’.
‘Herding towards trains’ image comes to mind.
Given that Obama has helped to create this HIV/AIDS epidemic by promoting gay marriage everywhere he goes, his meaningless executive order is arguably a power-grabbing remedy for another government-manufactured crisis.
The point of all this is to assign everyone an “HIV status,” thereby tying everyone to AIDS in some fashion - making AIDS “everyone’s problem.”
You might as well be given a “wife beating status,” or an “armed robber status.”
instead we’d just have five years of Romney caving in to the left’s hysterics. Just like boner and company. Compromising and getting halfway there, and then trying to brace against the left’s next push to go three steps further. Empowering the fricking rinotards like McCain Graham and Snowe and Cantor and purging out more conservatives because they just don’t vote enough with what the moderate leadership wants.
and when we’d complain about it we’d hear the chorus of a bunch of people here saying “you don’t rip your own guys” because that’s just not what you do.
Yeah, he learned how to subvert it...and he's succeeding thanks to the supposed members of "our" side.
Unconstitutional, massive blood testing for any reason would be a violation of the Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable search & seizures...grounds for a class action lawsuit!!!!!!
