I think the GOPe is striving for a social liberal female rino, to have a female face and voice as a counter to the Palin/Reagan female face of Grizzly Mamas.
They want to shape this new growth of female GOP candidates to make sure that they are female versions of the male rinos.
PR polls I am sure.

I think this article describes Enzi’s problem perfectly. He never fights for conservatism, he’s just a placemarker, and a back bencher at best.
