> They said something casual. “Jeans?” She asked. “Hell no, not JEANS,” was the answer! Lol. Too much work to live on the east coast and have to dress right all the time.

Why I refuse to move there when I was ordered to by one company. And it was expected that you were commonly at work even on Saturday and Sunday, of course, dress code applied even on weekends ! In fact when there was a mandatory meeting like on a Saturday morning, a complaint was filed because I came in shorts, never mind that it was going to be 95 degrees F that day ! The Eastern folks were in their dressy clothes including their long sleeve shirts.

Kind of reminds me one job where I was contracted to, the executive there had a no jeans rule especially on Friday but he also required long sleeve shirts to be worn. Our group just rented space but had nothing to do with the executive, therefore we showed up in jeans everyday and short sleeve shirts in the Summer. I even wore sandals on Friday. The head security guy was pretty cool. He smile when I showed up on Friday and kind of joke about the Ph.D and his dress code ! The executive would be holed up in his office and never walk around especially to our area. That executive also had rule that no leaving early on Friday’s even after you had your hours in. Of course I got in like at 6 am and left like at 11 am. The exec would show up to see who leaves early like after 12 noon.

Now where I am at, no dress code, it is as long as the job gets done.

He spends his time whipping up racial anger then heads to Martha's Vineyard for a little rest.

America, what a country.

Gotta get those freebies in while they can — only 3 more years to grab what they can.

Sensitive to the needs of the common man, Barack plans to continue his intention of taking his Martha's Vineyard meals at lowly eateries, such as the State Road Restaurant in Oak Bluffs (photo below). Michelle meanwhile is seen here photographed in front of her favorite budget entree.

Not to nitpick, but that is a picture of Obama in Dooky Chase restaurant in New Orleans. That same picture is hung above the door to the dining room (or at least it was when I was last there in 2012).

Ah, so, thanks for the correction. That photo seems to have been somewhat scrubbed from the internet - I had a hard time finding it. Had to do an advanced search using freerepublic.com as my domain! The post from which I grabbed it had indicated Martha’s Vineyard and State Road Restaurant. BTW, is that Colon Bowels serving him? :-)

I wish those grasping, crude idiots would find some other place to visit.

Our first trip to Dooky's was in 2010 (for the lunch buffet). On our way out of the dining room, we saw Obama's picture above the doorway. We were surprised (and chagrined) to see that Mr. RightField had been sitting in the exact location where Obama had sat in that picture. Had we noticed O's picture on our way in, we would probably have asked for another table.

After lunch, we talked to Dooky himself for quite a while in the bar area. It was sad to hear him talk glowingly of Obama and how Obama was going to save the black people and provide free health care for everyone.

Main reason why I refuse to live there ! When I worked for Lockheed Martin, when I started, I worked for EIS, pretty easy going group. Dress didn’t matter, get the job done. I ended up going from there to M & DS, later IS & GS. Those folks were uptight. From the East Coast - Wash DC area. There was some function like on a Friday evening, mandatory. I showed up like in blue jeans and sandals and next thing, got my @$$ chewed out and was reminded that any functions required formally dressing up, doesn’t matter when such as weekend even if unpaid !

I have been gone like for 4 years, got laid off for refusing to move, of course moving was on my own dime. And was also told to sell my house at a low price. I took a layoff and made sure I got severance.

> My friend went back east for a wedding, and asked what she should wear for the post wedding breakfast. They said something casual. “Jeans?” She asked. “Hell no, not JEANS,” was the answer! Lol. Too much work to live on the east coast and have to dress right all the time.
