African Americans benefit from Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” self-defense law at a rate far out of proportion to their presence in the state’s population, despite an assertion by Attorney General Eric Holder that repealing “Stand Your Ground” would help African Americans. Black Floridians have made about a third of the state’s total “Stand Your Ground” claims in homicide cases, a rate nearly double the black percentage of Florida’s population. The majority of those claims have been successful, a success rate that exceeds that for Florida whites. Nonetheless, prominent African Americans including Holder and “Ebony and Ivory” singer Stevie Wonder, who has vowed not to perform in the Sunshine State until the law is revoked, have made “Stand Your Ground” a central part of the Trayvon Martin controversy.

Why do they keep trying to confuse these people with facts.
Think about this: This is the slickest piece of genocide ever perpetrated on black people.
First they allow abortions and black children are murdered in the thousands.
Then they allow Hispanic illegals to swarm the country, and black people are denied jobs.
Now they want to disarm the honest black man so the Hoodies can kill and rob them.
SYG laws didn’t make a difference in the Zimmerman/Martin case. You can’t retreat when someone is on top of you smashing your head into the ground.
It makes sense, since blacks are doing most the killing. Obama could make SYG a hate crime, allowing blacks to do it, but not whites.

stand your ground is tort reform by blocking civil actions.
If anything the other 20 or so states should IMMEDIATLY adopt stand your ground.
and that gets back to more blacks are attacked or killed by other blacks than by whitey—so if a black person w/o a criminal record is entitled to carry arms and does—more power to him or her in defending themselves. It is more likely that they’d be attacked by a member of their own community than by some crazy cracker. But the powers that be want you to think it will always be some gun NRA supporting Bible toting (I forgot meat eating & PBR drinking) white DUDE that likes to dress up in sheet on his off hours.

Exactly right. SYG had nothing to do with Zimmerman being found not guilty. It was self-defense, cut and dry.
But the hate whitey crowd will never shut their damn mouths. Obamagabe immediately turned the verdict into another gun-control rant and the liberals in the media fame the flames of race, trying to pretent it’s still 1964 Jim Crow days.
Martin’s clueless mother (the one that didn’t raise him, so barely knew him), was on CBS this morning with her racist lawyer and she said she was certain when the verdict was announced it would be guilty of 2nd degree murder. I guess she was listening to a different trial than everyone else. Her book deal probably took a nose dive when Zimmerman was acquittted.
Facts? We don’t need no stinkin’ facts.
