In a recent political development that could only be called unexpected, Newsmax has learned that Rep. Peter King (R-NY), past chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, is being encouraged by friends in and outside the Empire State to seek the Republican nomination for president in 2016.
Several of those friends told us that the popular Republicanwho turned 69 in April and is now in his 11th term as congressman from New Yorks Third Districthas returned the show of support in a presidential bid with a strong maybe.
King, one of the Houses most vocal national security advocates, is said to be concerned about the declining preparedness situation and economic malaise he sees the nation facing after two terms of President Obama.

The majority of the States are fed up with politicians from the Northeast and so-called Mid-West areas East of the Mississippi River (IL, PA, etc.).
I like his stance against Islamic terrorism but that is probably all I like. Some things I have read and seen from him I can say I disagree. So he is not right for the job. He is from the wrong state too so I doubt he is a rock solid conservative.
I think he is a gun grabber. I thought I read Peter King was in support of Toomey-Manchin.
King is a supporter of the Irish Republican Army, who have been traditional allies with Islamic terrorists. That makes King’s true stance on Islamic terror unknown, and his public stance thereof dishonest, FWICS.
Mo, gun grabbers should be locked up.
Yet another politician who would be turned down for any job that required a security clearance.
