What I’ve found is that people over 40 actually show up for work every day. They do it on time. They don’t get an attitude about people telling them what to do. They generally don’t get into petty fights among themselves. They tend to leave their personal lives at home.

We raised our kids that way and it hasn't always been easy for them to find jobs because of their generation's reputation. But once they found them, they've been given regular raises and promotions because they earn it.

When I was a kid (boomer), it was even tough to find a McDonald's type job . . . because there were so many of us. Showing up on time, doing the work and passing a drug test wasn't enough back then.
