Josh Miller never gave much thought to where his car, bed or toothpaste came from until an aluminum plant in his hometown of Ravenswood, West Virginia, shut down about four years ago.
The closure left 650 people without a job, including Miller's father-in-law, in a town of roughly 3,800, triggering a familiar pattern. The unemployment rate in Jackson County more than doubled, businesses shuttered and Ravenswood's quaint downtown became a ghost town.

I just find it odd that you want to increase my taxes because others are breaking the law. Par for the course, I suppose. The government can’t solve the illegal immigration problem, so let’s get the government to tax us even more . . . everyone aboard?
right now, in my immediate vicinity, there are a couple hundred Mexicans who will perform the job I perform for my clients for less money--how exactly will having the government make me pay more $ at Wal-Mart when I need something solve the problem?

Let's stop right there. In the first place, I don't use flaky words like 'anymore' or 'every'. That cr@p comes from your side. In the second place, I'm not the one saying industrial production is up, it's your federal reserve that's saying it.

Nobody's entitled to his own reality and what we got is back in the '40's America chose the lower tariffs that came with more jobs and higher incomes. Most people's opinion is that these days we got enough problems with the Great Recession without trying to restart the Great Depression.
