Why doesn’t Mitch McConnell just turn over his job to McCain?

McConnell doesn’t do anything but fellate Harry Reid.

This is the Republican party that wants my vote???

So you think we should follow a failed model (third party) rather than a politically successful model (liberals taking over the DNC from within)? No thanks.
The difference, and it's a BIG one, is that the Democrat Party has always had liberals in positions of power. Enough to allow them to effect change in party rules that made the liberal takeover possible.

Republicans, OTOH, do everything in their power to shut conservatives out of leadership positions. The Party Platform debate at the last Convention, for example, turned into a conservative purge.

They've made it crystal clear that conservatives are no longer welcome in the Republican Party, and are willing to do whatever it takes to keep them out.

Except to vote.

The Gang Of Prostitutes (GOP): Their only principle is to hve no principles. their only strategy is preemptive surrender. Their plan for victory is to tick off their base as much as possible.

With Democrats in charge, the country is going off the cliff at 100 miles per hour. At lest Republicans drive the speed limit — but you’re still going off the cliff. We need to turn the car around.

The Republican Party was founded to replace the Whigs because the Whigs would not take a stand on the main issues of the day. Well, they did such a good job of replacing the Whigs that they have become the Whigs.

Maybe they should change their name.

And BTW, McCain has been senile for years.

McCain campaigns for his own loss of a Senate Seat.

Sorry but not likely. In 2010, ex-Congressman JD Hayworth ran against McLame in the Arizona primary. Juan ran $20 million in attack ads and destroyed Hayworth in the primary with 70% of the vote. I contributed to Hayworth but he ran a lackluster campaign trying to seem respectful of Mclame. AND he was outspent 20:1.

So long as conservatives do not loosen their wallets and contribute to opponents of traitors like McCain, they will hold on to their seats and continue to demoralize the conservative base.

Next year, Linda Graham comes up again in South Carolina. I do not care if his opponent (if any) is dog catcher from some little town, I will contribute to him.

my guess: mccain heads his minority gang of 14 or so leftist senate republicans, which gives the dems the votes they need for cloture and gives mcconnell the cover he needs to hide.

you know: murkowski, collins, alexander, corker, grahmnesty, etc, etc.

It takes more than just McCain to pull this off. There are a lot of GOP co-conspirators that also deserve our ire.

That's not entirely accurate. It wasn't that long ago when the Democrat party were openly racist, homosexual baiting and had a huge KKK contingent. The Marxists spent time and effort taking over the party, and they have succeeded. There hasn't been an effective third party in the history of our country. The Whigs died before the Republican party was born. I am saying we need to take over the Republican party, not shoot ourselves in the foot by going third party.

the site is senatorflake.com. the az justification is cited there. it looks like the person running the site is still trying to get approval from AZ for his petitions or find someone who already has one.

without petitions to distribute to sign, it looks like the effort is on hold.

no visible contribution button, i guess by design. i would contribute though, being out of state.
