To: Texas Fossil
In his conversation with another waiting juror the redlight camera’s were mentioned. I stated that they were not about tickets, but about recording license plate numbers. You should have seen the shock on his face that I had figured it out.

Have any murders or other serious crimes been solved by this tracking technology?

What are they going to do with this information? Just keep it for no reason? Or is it all for tax/revenue generation?

I suspect there have been some serious crimes partially solved by the database, wherever it is.

As far as what they do with the info, I don’t have a clue.

And the revenue generation is not from the side of photographing license plates. It is from photographing those who run red lights or other violations. Locally, I know of none that are for revenue. Out of the area, I am aware that they do that.
