Liz Cheney: Republicans, Get Over the 2012 Loss—and Start Fighting Back
Wall Street Journal ^ | March 28, 2013 | Liz Cheney

[...]

In the face of this reality, it is time for Republicans to get over their loss in 2012. We are all that stands between this president's policies and a damaged and diminished America. It is time to get back in the fight.

And I do mean fight. Republicans are being counseled to move the party to the left, but in my experience, those who advocate more liberal policies for the GOP are wrongheaded or Democrats, or both. You can be sure that President Obama would welcome an America in which the Republican Party is preoccupied with remaking itself into a watered-down version of the Democrats.

It is time to defend our values with vigor and courage. We are conservatives. We believe in limited government, low taxes, a strong national defense, individual freedoms, self-reliance, the importance of the family, and the miracle and authority of America's founding documents. We know that government is best that governs least and governs closest to the people. We know that the private sector is the engine of economic growth. We know that America is the exceptional nation, the best that has ever existed. We know that the men and women who wear the uniform of the U.S. military are the greatest fighting force and the greatest force for good that the world has ever known.

We know that preventing this president from enacting devastating policies is not obstructionism. It is patriotism.

A Romenybot? How insulting can you get? I wasn’t attacking President Reagan - merely stating that every candidate has flaws and none are perfect

Why can’t you comprehend what is written? Maybe your reading comprehension skills are lacking. I’m not fighting for anyone - do you always attack fellow Freepers this hard? You sound like the GOPe to me.

I do know that Enzi is strongly anti-amnesty, and as you can see here, Dick Cheney, at least, is pro-amnesty:

I’d be supportive of Liz had she stayed in VA and won a purple-state House or Senate seat for us. Moving back to Wyoming to try to dislodge a more conservative, less neocon Senator in order to win the easier, safer seat isn’t something I think I can support.

Your post 19 was a bizarre, out of the blue attack on Reagan, it was strange, and how that popped into your head as a defense for Liz Cheney being pro-gay marriage and supportive of the homosexual agenda, and seemingly pro-choice, since we have no evidence that she is pro-life, is a mystery, but romneybots used to do that.

Cheney’s pro homosexual views seem to match Romney’s pretty well.

Dear Lord, will you get off the Romneybot crap? Yes I voted for him, but he certainly wasn’t my first or second choice as a candidate. So sue me - ok

I merely pointed out that no human being, no president or any of us are perfect. However, I suspect from your posts that you might be closer to being God than most because you claim perfection in your grasp of the facts. I guess you missed the part where I said that Reagan was probably one of the best presidents we ever had. So, I guess you also have selective reading skills.

We are all fallible human beings and that includes YOU!

How do you stand on government-sanctioned sodomite “marriages”, Liz?

Well dang. I am impressed. She is articulate. She’s Conservative. Future Presidential candidate if fmr Gov Palin doesn’t run????

In a country of 300 million, we can’t have a last name that has already been used? Plus why is she still using her father’s last name? I guess we can’t complain anymore when Chelsea runs or Malia Obama runs.

I would guess that having 5 children of her own makes her pro-life? Just a guess on my part, of course.

A guess is right.....Nancy Pelosi has 5 children.

And again, poeple on here are fighting amongst themselves. The point is to remove Enzi! He’s a waste. Liz Cheney has stepped up to the plate and is a fighter. I hope she removes Enzi from power.

Enzi, Cornyn, McConnell, Graham, Alexander, Collins and Cochrane all need to go this cycle!

I am assuming she supports it because her sister is homosexual, isn’t she?
