No, although the last time that we lost power, a friend loaned us one. We couldn't use it to power the well, but we were able to run the refrigerator, the TV and the downstairs lights. We were thrilled.

I guess that we'd have to have an electrician in to hook up a generator that would allow us to pump water from the well?
