You either teach at a pretty good school, or don’t have much imagination- and it doesn’t take much.
There are so many hard working, accomplished young people who are far more deserving of a helping hand than her.
What has she done to deserve such a gift? Nothing.
He should make it a black religious college because it’s going to definitely take at least a couple miracles to get her through.
I hope someone wealthy is secretly helping George and his wife...he can’t work! It is maddening...and scary that so many people are this crazy, backwards, hateful and just plain NUTS.

Naw! JK! The black college isn’t gonna really have a choice on whether or not to accept her! Not if they know what’s good for them!
In the normal course of events she would, indeed, finish high school, but would not get a diploma- would not graduate. There is probably enough pressure and threats building now that she will be awarded a diploma and her grades will be sealed or post facto changed. I would love to hear her give the valedictory at Graduation.
Actually today’s colleges LOVE the remedial grade school set. It’s a CASH COW to have “professional students” on endless grants failing and repeatedly taking non-accredited courses for $$$$$! Been going on since the eighties.
They also love the up and coming “honey boo boo” set (think 3-30 age group; ADHD; on anti-depressants and permanently living with mommykins) that have (typically) a dad and mom living in separate homes, both vying and buying their children’s love. The house that has the fewest expectations and least amount of rules WINS!!!
