Personally, I would not want to be known as an "ex-gay." It keeps the label lingering. Why not just be known as normal?

It's along the same lines of saying everyone has an "HIV status." Well, you know what? I DON'T have an "HIV status" whatsoever. None.

The effort to label someone with this "status" is an overt effort to cast everyone in the light of AIDS. Making AIDS "everyone's problem," as the old campaign said.

I refuse to play along.

I DISAGREE. If you have a testimony, a true Christian testimony about being delivered from a problem (even if you still struggle with it), and you feel the need to share, then you should let others know.

Someone's story can be a powerful motivator in letting others know the struggle can be overcome.
