RC one ~:" I guess the truth is offensive to the national association of colored people..." To admit Martin's background was "shakey" is an masterful understatement .
It would be more realistic to say that he was in a 'downward spiral', headed to catastrophy and a head-on crash.
Young Trayvon had all the youthful ammentities; however , in the last two years of his life , he changed due to peer pressure The only problem was that it involved George Zimmerman on that fateful night; fortunately, Zimmerman was armed !

Even Serino , the Sanford Police officer said that Trayvon wasn't racially profiled,
it was Trayvon's manner of dress and his actions that drew Zimmerman's attention.
The DOJ conducted an intensive investigation with Zimmerman's neighbors ,acquaintances ,family and friends
and could find not one incident of racial epithets or the use of a racial slur.

Race was not a factor in this assault ; but questionable behavior was the sole motivator !

one aspect of his background that hasn’t really been explored is his apparent addiction to codeine. Codeine is a schedule 2 opiate- the same as percocet, vicodin, dilaudid, morphine, fentanyl, methadone, demerol, etc, etc. Trayvon Martin was a junkie who, by his own admission, was out looking for a fix that night. A junkie looking for a fix will do some extreme things to get that fix rather than suffer narcotic withdrawal which any junkie will tell you is pretty much their biggest fear.
