A six-year-old boy in the US state of Colorado has won the right to use the girls’ toilets at school because he is transsexual.
Meanwhile, in a similar case in Australia, a nine-year-old boy has also won the right to use the girls’ toilets.
And new laws in California mean transsexual students can choose to join either girls’ or boys’ sports teams at school.
In Colorado, the parents of six-year-old Coy Matthis took their son’s school to a civil rights panel, claiming it was discrimination to disallow their son from using the bathroom of the gender with which he identifies.
In December 2012 school officials said Coy must use the boys’ toilets or the staff bathrooms.
The Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund assisted the Matthis’ case and welcomed the decision.
Executive Director Michael Silverman said the ruling sent out a clear message to schools that transgender students must be treated equally in schools.
In southeast Queensland Australia, a nine-year-old boy has been told by the region’s Education department that he can use the girls’ toilets and join girls’ sports teams at his primary school.
His mother had planned to lodge a gender identity discrimination complaint after teachers said the child must use a unisex toilet when he came to school dressed as a girl at the start of the year.
Now Education Queensland North Coast regional director Colin Allen-Waters has said the student can use the female toilets and compete in girls’ sports events.
Politicians in California have passed a controversial Bill which would allow students to access bathrooms and changing rooms of the gender they have chosen.
The legislation, which must now be signed into law by the State’s Governor Jerry Brown, would also mean transgender students can choose a sports team of the gender with which they identify.
The proposals have come under fire from critics who say students may exploit the new law.
The word pervert probably applies more to the parents who encourage the behavior. Reminds me of munchausen syndrome by proxy.

For the wedding, who would give away the bride who identifies as the groom while the ring bearer identifies as the flower girl and the maid of honor identifies as the best man? Maybe it would be the mother who identifies as the father? Could the minister dress as a cocker spaniel?
For that messed up he/she and its parents, could a the boy’s restroom sign be considered to identify as a girl’s restroom sign?
No child can be a transsexual at age 6.

These kids are too young to pick up this kind of nonsense on their own and are being used to further distort language and reality itself.

The only way would be if they have a rare genetic disorder XXY...and even then, at age 6, they don’t know this stuff unless they have been taught it. These parents are crazy - and doubtful any of their kids in these cases are XXY and have normal chromosome pairs of XY and XX - clearly male and female respectively. Thinking otherwise is a mental illness that should be treated, not encouraged and codified - there is nothing humane about distorting reality further to further confuse someone suffering a mental illness. These kids probably just started seeing people of the opposite sex wearing certain kinds of clothes, playing with certain toys, etc. and thought it looked fun and wanted to do it themselves...rather than being taught the difference between boys and girls, the behavior was encouraged...that’s messed up - people like this don’t understand the role of parents. No telling what else these kids will get into they won’t discourage or correct.
Amazingly, these people will claim that homosexuals are “born that way” and they need to be accepted for how they were born...yet they don’t believe if you are born male or female that’s reality and you can just “self identify” as the opposite and it isn’t a matter of what you were born as?
Again, “progressivism” is just stupidity. Period.
I find myself wondering about the judge. He did not throw this BS out nor did he turn in the parents. Should he be on the bench? I don’t think so.
