But there’s no real evidence of that.
I prefer to think that ONE srong (probably Christian) woman who can think and who knows right from wrong on that jury would NEVER be swayed in a case where there’s zero evidence — and would, in fact, turn the others eventually through her persistence.
Hung jury would have been the worst that could happen.

I think they really wanted GZ to pay in some way, even though he was 100% innocent.
And BTW. GZ is paying.
He has been in jail for 16 months, he is in hiding, his life is upside down.
He has payed far to much already.
If I was the prosecution or the Martin family I’d be pretty upset that those 3 who were initially guilty folded so quickly.
It’d be interesting to hear from some of them as to why they switched.
