Zimmerman did not say coon and if you look will you find a new story where Zimmerman complained in a public forum about the beating of a black man by Sanford police. This happend about a year before the shooting.
The reality is that Zimmerman was pretty much the opposite of how he was portrayed and Travon Martin's history was hidden.
The Gov. of Florida along with the entire prosecution should be dragged in to civil and criminal court over this travesty.

FWIW, the “coons” remark would be extremely odd, even for a racist. I don’t think I’ve heard anybody actually use the term in decades. Other pejoratives are much more popular.
Since he was on the phone to a dispatcher at the time, whose race he didn’t know, it would seem an odd choice of words.
