A relative had uninsulated duct work in his office building (Not a smart move down here), during real humid weather it would sweat like crazy.
Solved it by buying two dehumidifiers.
They can pull over two gallons of water out of the air each day, stopped the leaking from the duct work problem.
There should be a drip pan that your evaporator unit sits in with a drain line for water that collects in the unit, pouring Clorox in that line once or twice a year will stop it from plugging up with slime.
Sometimes I requires blowing out with a compressor when it gets really plugged.

Do all my own a/c work myself, Mr. Fix-it ya know, LOL.
