Well, I think it is stupid to push the limits on a motorcycle like that and he did not have to die. There are many other more reputable ways to make a great living that do not put your life in jeopardy, especially if one has a family! It is tragic enough for our war heroes to die and leave family, but for people like this it is totally avoidable. And no, couch potato is not the other reasonable alternative, so don’t give me that bs.
...After. < |:(~
It is a relatively free country. He was doing what he wanted to do. He’s dead. So?
Power washer.
If he took his dog along, they could call him spot.
That’s astounding.
I'm so glad we've found an aribter of exactly what exactly a reputable way of making one's living is.
There are a lot of dangerous things in this world. The most dangerous job in America is that of a fisherman.
Personally, I think there are much worse things one can do with one's life than pushing the envelopes of engineering.
“I wouldn’t have thought it possible to survive a fall from a bike at 211 mph with minor injuries.”
As long as you don’t slide into anything solid (tree, barrier, wall, rock, etc), and you’re wearing proper gear (heavy leather, some body armor, etc), it’s quite possible to come off a bike at that speed with relatively minor injuries. Actually, sliding on the hard surfaces aren’t so bad, it’s when you hit something softer, like grass or a gravel trap, and part of your body digs in and starts you tumbling violently that you get a lot of injuries to the extremities. Falling on the street tends to be much less forgiving, since there is almost always something solid to slide in to, or get run over by.
The laws of Physics are unmerciful
1,500psi or higher. LOL.
Sweet. That's what I'm talking about. I could go for one of those.
Interesting that they chose to go electric. I'd prefer a hybrid. I'd like to have AC and heat, and enough power to haul some groceries, or another passenger in the rear.
It’s not a difference of substance. Only degree.
Indeed. It’s also a shame other people encourage them and try to make a buck off it.
And if free will can sanctify questionable behavior, I suppose you must be just fine with same sex “marriage”.
wow thats a stretch. go take your medicine and get some sleep. you aren’t fit to be out in public
There are gas-powered models available, too.
“The MT i1200 is powered by a fuel-injected BMW 1200cc gas engine. It goes from 0 to 60 in just over 5 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 155 MPH. It gets over 50 mpg at highway speeds.”
You are the one who appeals to the amazing power of free will to render OK stuff that isn’t really OK. I am simply pointing that out. Sorry if this upsets you.
I have a somewhat similar story, if even more tragic. A guy in the class ahead of me cut school for “senior skip day” and planned on spending a fine May morning riding around in his new motorcycle. There were a lot of curvy S-type roads in this area, and the kid lost it speeding on one of them and went headfirst into a reinforced metal fence. I think he died instantly.
The really awful thing though...the bike was an early graduation present from his parents. He was due to get his diploma in less than two weeks.
Just live your life in bubble wrap and all will be good with the world.
All apologies,
but I’m sorry.
Wisconsin June bugs would kick South Carolina June bugs asses. Thankfully they fly low . . .
