Heck, one time I was at a party with Eric Clapton..stood shoulder to shoulder. You would have thought looking at the picture I was about to jump on the jet with him to his next gig as his main squeeze.
It really shouldn’t be too hard to craft a battle plan. Educate yourself on Pauken and give a definitive argument why people should vote for him. Not why they should not vote for Abbott. Be definitive and avoid “catch phrases” (work horse, etc.) Tell people HOW he is a workhorse.
That will work until closer to the election...then it’s duck and cover time, lol.

Myself, I support Abbott today. He has done a lot of good. I don’t have anything against Pauken except he is trying to split the ticket, which he has every right to do. But if a strong Dem candidate shows up..it could be very detrimental. The election is over a year away.
