President Barack Obama urged Americans to keep calm in the wake of Saturday's jury verdict finding George Zimmerman not guilty of charges associated with the controversial shooting death of black teen Trayvon Martin.
"I know this case has elicited strong passions. And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher," Obama said Sunday in a statement. "But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken. I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son."

He will not be able to resist emotion over law. If he does however, I give him a kudos for being presidential.
Of course..Obama knows Holder will do everything he can to protect “His people” and go after Zimmerman..it was Obama and the DOJ who started this insanity to begin with..Obama loves a race war, its what he has always wanted, that way the white guilt crowd will vote Democrat
..."sometimes...when I'm in the mood and it works to my advantage."
Most people I’ll try to give them the benefit of a doubt but Obama has played the game too many times for me to trust him.
Maybe we should do all we can to stem the tide of VIOLENCE.
Like... maybe... getting young black male teens to stop idolizing gangstas, and telling people that the "Knockout Game" is thuggish, racist, disgusting, criminal behavior that can be supported by no decent person on the face of the earth? And that anyone who engages in such behavior deserves what he gets when he picks on the wrong victim?
And shaming the young gangstas, and telling them to stop beating and knifing and shooting people of all races, including black people, and black children who really ARE children?
Ya think?
Oh, he’s so Presidential ... so reasonable ... such a uniter ...
Do we know GZ’s whereabouts? I really hope he’s already left the country.
I am not sure about that. Obviously the comparison is to the Rodney King riots. The Bush administration was reacting to the riots, not the verdict itself, in bringing federal charges against the LA police. So far there have been no riots, and Obama has now put out a fairly conciliatory statement. Chances for federal charges are dropping by the hour.
On the MSNBC website they have a poll asking if the jury was correct. It’s losing 51-48. www.tv.msnbc.com and scroll down to editor’s pick, there’s a picture of Zimmerman and click on the link if you’d like to vote.
My translation:
“We should ask ourselves if were doing all we can to stem the tide of smaller weaker people being able to defend themselves against murder attempts by MMA fighters”
Vito Corleone could always sound conciliatory while Luca Brasi was chopping the legs off his enemies. Holder is Obama’s Luca Brasi.
He may say this publicly but hes probably working behind the scenes with other racists, especially those in the Just Us Department, to charge GZ with civil rights abuses.

Is NBC the network that put out the photos of a 12-13 year-old Trayvon? That was one factor that really messed up the whole story for the public, as was making Mr. Zimmerman to be VERY white. (not that it should make a difference, but calling someone a “White” Hispanic was weird)
Left unsaid, “Tomorrow (Monday) AG Holder and I will be meeting to scheme how to bring George Zimmerman to justice.”
The jury of SIX WOMEN has spoken. DOJ can advance this administration’s War On Women by going after George Z with a bogus “civil rights” case and overriding this jury’s verdict.
i don't honor pot smoking, thieving, gangbangers. he did more for his family financially by dying than he would have his whole worthless life.
Translation:
“A jury has kept Benghazi, the incompetence of my former and present SecState, the IRS abuses, NSA spying, my wifes endless high maintenance vacations, my own golf games, and the idiotic mamblings my brainless Veep out of the news for the past several weeks, for which I am very thankful”.
