Government education is not destroyed. It is performing **exactly** as the progressives of the mid-1800s planned.

I'm guessing you meant "mid-1900s". The rest of your post is spot on.

Late-1800s, early 1900s. Woodrow Wilson’s administration led the way to turning schools into re-education camps.

No. I seriously meant the mid-1800s.

Socialist-entitlement K-12 schooling was a progressive idea from the beginning. Teacher training and curriculum development haas **always** been controlled by progressives. Progressives have always been pushing for greater and greater centralization. Progressives have always been pushing the envelope of society's moral boundaries.

The progressives that brought us compulsory state controlled schooling in the mid-1800s to early 1900s would be thrilled to see the fruits of their labors, today.

Government owned and run socialist-entitlement K-12 schooling has always been evil.

I suggest reading John Taylor Gatto for a history of government socialist-entitlement K-12 schooling.
