Your post #44 noted. My memory goes back to 1997 when three white teens from rural Michigan hopped on a freight for a lark. They bit off more than they could chew and the police were informed they were shouting for help. They were on a roof of the freight. They dare not jump off at Holly, Michigan.

It finally slowed in Flint, Michigan. They were directed to a convenience store by youths. In a park some 12 black youths jumped on them. One lad was shot fatally, the other beaten and shot. The girl was sexually assaulted and shot in the cheek.

The Mayor of Flint as much as said, they were delinquents for jumping on the freight. I do believe that a black truck driver got two youths to safety, but I cannot confirm the racial descent of the driver.
