I wonder what percentage of Oakland residents are on some form of government assistance?I would wager that the percentage is EXTREMELY HIGH!!!!!
Probably not so high, in relative terms compared to, say Detroit. Oakland is diverse, meaning it has a lot of affluent people (on the hills), has some ritzy white neighborhoods. Poor folk down on the flatlands near freeways and bay. The worst parts of Oakland are luxurious compared to Detroit's ghettos. But the black punks in Oakland, while small in number and area, make up for it with craziness. Lots of murders and mayhem in the black portion of Oakland.
