As a nation we have a stained past, the best constitution out there in this world, and still the best country in which to reside. No question. 0bummer with Jarret and others did a fine job scouring the legal world to find this case knowing no way Zimmerman would be convicted...they are drooling today and likely still wording their response...it will NOT be unifying what is said...both Holder and he will make separate statements, one masking being used as a trial balloon for the civil case...Z will be left penniless, wife-less, miserable and no one will hire him...perhaps the irony will be he’ll need 0bama’s welfare to survive, something 0bama likely won’t want to pay him. Z will have thugs after him day in day out, who won’t get prosecuted - or perhaps pardoned IFFF 0bama steps down in 3 yrs. Being in a interracial family, this really is a pisser...God’s grace gives me strength. 0Bummer picked this out...purposely calls Z white hispanic instead of hispanic, whereas, 0bama, who is half, calls himself black. Riots further his cause, anger, hatred are not seen at these levels since 1960.

Plan: be Socratic with your brethren...those angry enough to just hate blacks now, I have no part with you. That isn’t the solution...that is giving territory to 0bama...he wants you to be that way. If you can pull a black guy or black woman aside and ask, what in the case troubles you? Why? Did you know there is a transcript of the dispatch? Did you know there is a black woman on the defense team? Did you know what the stand your ground law is? Did you know there were many breakins in the neighborhood at that time? Did you know it wasn’t mentioned TM was black until the dispatcher asked Z to describe him? What would happen if the roles were reversed? Would you feel the same if TM shot Z after attacking, pounding his head into the pavement, and if Z had pot in his system? Will you be part of the solution to seek healing and forgiveness?

ETC...it’s a start, but that has to be the way.

As in my 171, I don't care anymore.

It's not as if I have animosity toward blacks. I live and work in Alabama, and I live and work around and with black people—I have my whole live.

I was born when Jim Crow was law down here but was only 7 years old in 1965 when the Voting Rights Act became law. I've heard older white people cuss and spit and use the word N-—R when discussing blacks, but most—no, they never did.

I felt for the plight of a black man who wanted to be a man and simply left alone and not be harassed due to his color. Martin Luther King, whose Dexter Avenue Baptist Church is only a few miles from where I sit, said it best when he said he longed for the day when we'll be judged by the content of our character, not by the color of our skin.

But now those days are olden days, historic yes but decades past, and where are we now? I try hard to see signs of discrimination from my own race towards theirs but I just don't see it.

THEY say the legacy still lives on and the proof is their poverty. I see lots of poverty—black and white. I also see rich blacks and whites. What is the difference?

I see hard work and dedication, a desire to learn and become educated as being the biggest factor by far. If it was not so, I would not know many a person black or white who came from nothing and now are men and women of means.

So when you tell me that any continued poverty and ignorance—hard times—are still my fault because of my race toward yours...

I laugh out loud.

It's simply not true.

And I have as much right to say so as you do to say it's not so, and my saying so doesn't make me a racist.

Holder said we are cowards to not discuss the racial problems in this country. Well, I'm no coward, but I believe he wouldn't agree with what I say what exactly is the problem. It ain't me, Eric. Go look in the mirror.

Some say it's a black thing and I wouldn't understand. I laugh at that, too. How victimizingly pompous.
