It just didn't "seem" like things were that tense this time. Yes, emotions ran high, but facts are stubborn things. I was a little anxious to see if there would be any kind of negative incidents at all.
There were few people "out and about", and those that were seemed rather quiet or subdued. A group of boisterous youths tooted their car horn at me along the side of the road about a half block from home during my return. Other than that, nothing.
So it seems that my faith in humanity has been restored two times tonight. By tomorrow morning, hopefully the good news on the national situation will restore that faith a third time.
Reports are that a mob of250 have taken to the streets of D.C. Of all places the mob in a city where guns are outlawed. Oh the irony.
