God bless the jury...they clearly looked at the evidence, which was overwhelming for the defense and Zimmerman.
Now the race baiters will say that these five white woman and one Hispanic woman were racist and they will be in danger as a result.
I hope the state of Florida, finally, will ride herd on, and come down extremely hard on, any trouble makers and race baiters that try and gen up trouble...and in any other state.
- One woman is retired, and has no kids.
- Another is Hispanic who is a nurse.
- Another is white, mamages property, has been married for 30 years and has two grown children.
- Another is white, volunteers for animal rescue, her husband is a lawyer and they have two grown kids.
- Another is white, married, works in financial services and has two younger children at home.
- The last is white, and is a safety officer.
At first I was worried about this and the ability for the prosecutor to try and gen up an emotional response...but these were clearly not swayed by that...and looked at the evidence. God bless 'em...and God keep and protect them.
At first I was worried about this and the ability for the prosecutor to try and gen up an emotional response. I shared that concern, as did many here. I had predicted a hung jury. My mind began to change when O'Mara (and others) reported that the jury was paying rapt attention. I changed my prediction to acquittal after hearing one half of O'Mara's closing argument.
