“How could you seal a verdict?”

I guess what I meant was temporarily seal it to delay the reading of the verdict for a while while they made sure authorities were in place. I thought they did that in the past when they feared unrest.

I do believe that they did delay the publishing of the verdict by an hour or so to give the police time to assemble the troops.

I also believe that having the jury announce the verdict on a Saturday was deliberate.

Having a jury work on a Saturday is fairly unusual I believe, but in a case like this probably very wise. On Saturdays the number of people in the city center would be greatly reduced because it is not a regular work day.
