My neighborhood has a watch and most of us are very active. Some of the men DO chase away thugs trying to break into garages. This morning two AA women were arguing loudly while “negotiating” . One in the auto driver’s seat and the other packing bags in the trunk. The driver was very loud and seemed to be badgering the other. When one walked back to the apartment, the other followed talking loudly. A neighbor said to them, “Now, now, stop it”. For the most part they got a bit quieter. Took another half hour before they left.

Live in SE florida.
Lately there have been a string of “ pillowcase burglaries”
Thieves watch for homes, even coming up to doors to ring doorbells, and if they sense no one home, break sliding glass doors/windows, quickly enter and fill pillowcases with $$ , jewelry, valuables.
Gated community also. Neighbors have been great letting each other know if anything suspicious is going on.
Will be interesting to have some discussions based on the verdict rendered , from the perspective of getting involved, defending your property if necessary which many of us are prepared for.
Perhaps the “AA” women were looking for a meeting?
