No, I think any claim to self-defense must be put under extreme scrutiny. Especially if it’s a family member, friend, or associate who is killed.

The fact that BDLR, Corey, et al. have grossly abused the legal process doesn't mean there shouldn't be a legal process. The legislation that defined SYG hearings intended that they be smaller affairs than full-fledged trials, and I think it also provided some reimbursement of legal expenses in at least some self-defense-related cases.
